The Carmel Ayurveda Village & Research Centre is managed by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) Fathers, under the Carmel Province, Muvattupuzha, Kerala. The CMI congregation, founded by Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, is a renowned religious and educational community known for its commitment to service, education, healthcare, and social welfare. Drawing inspiration from the life and teachings of this visionary reformer and spiritual leader, the management upholds high ethical standards, a spirit of inclusivity, and a deep-rooted respect for traditional Indian healing systems like Ayurveda and Yoga.The Centre began its journey in 1983 as a part of the Nirmalgram Welfare Centre, with a social vision to make holistic healthcare accessible to people from all walks of life. Over the decades, it has grown into a well-established Ayurvedic wellness destination, combining spiritual values, eco-conscious living, and scientific Ayurvedic care. The day-to-day operations, therapy programs, and hospitality services are overseen by a dedicated team of CMI priests, Ayurvedic doctors, health practitioners, wellness consultants, and administrative professionals, all working with

one goal: to offer healing with dignity, compassion, and authenticity.At the heart of our management lies a deep respect for nature and a vision to create a disease-free, spiritually grounded society through Ayurveda. This commitment is reflected in everything we do—from the personalized treatments offered to our guests, to our sustainable practices in farming, waste management, and eco-tourism. The leadership of the Carmel Province ensures continuous development, research, and ethical management of the Centre, helping it maintain the balance between ancient traditions and modern standards of wellness and hospitality. Their holistic, mission-driven approach continues to guide Carmel Ayurveda Village as a haven of peace, healing, and transformative living.
